CryptoQuant has declared that the Bitcoin bear market has begun, attributed to a significant slowdown in demand since October 2025. After three substantial demand surges linked to events like the U.S. spot ETF launch, demand has dropped below trend levels. They estimate intermediate support at $70,000 and historical bear market lows around $56,000. In Q4 2025, U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs reportedly became net sellers, dropping by approximately 24,000 BTC. Furthermore, the funding rates for perpetual futures have fallen to their lowest since December 2023, suggesting a bearish trend, emphasizing cycles of demand over halving events as driving factors.
