Мережа Bitcoin готова до загроз квантових обчислень
A recent CoinShares study indicates that quantum computing poses a distant threat to Bitcoin security, easing concerns among institutional investors. Although debates about quantum risks have intensified, practical threats remain far-off, as breaking Bitcoin’s encryption requires vastly more powerful quantum systems. The report highlights that only 1.7 million Bitcoins are stored in older, vulnerable formats, amounting to just 8% of the total supply. Additionally, Bitcoin’s ability to implement quantum-resistant signatures, as seen with Schnorr updates, suggests adaptability for future security enhancements. Current quantum technologies are not projected to pose real threats until the 2030s or beyond.
