Mubadala Investment Company, the sovereign wealth fund of Abu Dhabi, increased its stake in BlackRock’s iShares Bitcoin Trust (IBIT) to 14,721,917 shares valued at approximately $565.6 million as of March 31, 2026, a 16% rise from the previous quarter. This accumulation began in Q4 2024, with investments growing significantly over the subsequent quarters. Notably, Al Warda Investments, related to the Abu Dhabi Investment Council, holds 8.2 million shares in IBIT. Combined, these entities own over $1 billion in IBIT, reflecting a growing institutional interest in regulated Bitcoin products amid evolving cryptocurrency policies.
