The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has conditionally approved these European-style options, which will track the CME CF Bitcoin Real Time Index. Unlike traditional Bitcoin futures options, these cash-settled options simplify operational complexities, allowing retail investors to hedge and bet on Bitcoin’s volatility through their existing brokerage accounts without needing separate futures accounts.
